Why we do this?
We always tinkered around on home projects, learning from our fathers and uncles. Now, we are shocked at some of the prices quoted to us. Recently, a close friend was quoted $12k just to replace an acrylic shower surround and door-maybe a 2-3 day job. $12k!!! We did it for her for about the same price but added: polished porcelain tiles up to the ceiling, crown molding, upscale fixtures, shower niche, soft close door, new LPV flooring, gorgeous 84-inch double sink vanity, custom backsplash, new mirrors and light, and all new trim and casings.
Over 20 years ago, our founder was quoted $45k to finish his 800 sq ft basement- 20 years ago! So, he did it himself for $8k including all materials, electrician cost, pool table, matching bar stools, 60-inch TV with surround sound, and new flooring and carpeting.
The bottom line: we discovered that there is room to quote REASONABLE prices, make a little money, and have fun doing it. Try us out!
Our specialities
We are at our best doing projects that add the most value to a home, allow you to enjoy the changes, and get a solid return on investment when you finally sell your home. While we do just about anything home related, we love to focus on:
- Bathroom remodels- from partial redos to complete demo to studs and finish
- Basement finishing from cinder block walls and cement floors to designed space for entertaining, extra bedrooms, and even sauna rooms.
-Kitchen refinishing, especially taking existing solid cabinet structures and refinishing them with a brand-new look (this can come in at 1/4 to 1/3 the cost of new cabinetry without giving up quality and appeal).
-Garage refinishing- one of the most demanded jobs today. Builders never finished all the walls or painted while customers want a clean, fresh look, some want heated garages, insulated ceilings, trim molding and epoxy covered floors.
- Some smaller projects include replacing wooden deck or porch stairs, modifying closets, trim work or crown molding. Give us a call and we'll be transparent on what we are good at, and if not, where you should go to get your project done.
